We do our stork and critters displays during the day, between 9 to 3. To
ensure a surprise delivery, we will arrange a suitable time for the
displays to be set up (hopefully when the guest of honor will be out of
the house). For late night surprises, please refer to our
DIY package.
We know that many of you would like to surprise your special person when
they wake up in the morning to a full yard full of critters. Therefore,
we offer a
DIY package.
A DIY package:
1) You come pick up the critters and A-frame sign from our home-base in
Dumfries/Prince William County.
2) You set the critters up to surprise your loved one.
3) You return the display and sign to the home-base.
A DIY package offers you a free day, this
allows enough time for the display to be picked-up, set up, and
returned.
We rent our critters out for a 24 hour period, additional days may be
purchased for $20 per 24 hour period.
We rent our storks our for a 7 day or a 10 day rental period.
Our stork yard signs will require an area of grass sufficient enough to
hold one large sign. If you do not have a front yard, but do have a mulch
bed, we can put it up in your mulch bed. If you live on a corner, and would like the stork
facing a certain street (or seen from 2 streets) please let us know. Our
signs are installed using a post, driven into the ground. If you
live in an apartment and would like to have a stork delivered to place on
the grounds of the apartment complex, we would be glad to do this.
Please obtain permission from the landlord beforehand.
Our critters yard display signs are staked into the ground as well with
step stakes or thin rods. You must have sufficient space to put a
display in the ground. If you are unsure about space in a front
yard, please contact us and we may be able to help you decide if a yard
will be big enough.
How are the signs personalized?
Your stork will be personalized with our
keepsake
star, with your babies first and middle name, birth weight and birth
date. The star is yours to keep when the stork rental period is
over. We can put anything you would like on the star. If you
would like to have it personalized for an adoption, welcome home party or if you are a grandparent
announcing the birth of a grandchild, we can personalize it at your request.
The
critter yard displays are personalized with a 2-sided sidewalk display
sign. You have 7 lines to use on both sides and they can be
personalized with whatever saying you'd like. For suggestions,

You can purchase a gift certificate through us to give as a shower or
expecting gift. The parents (or friend) can call us when the baby is
born and redeem the gift certificate at that time. We will do the rest!
No one needs to be home when we deliver or pick-up the stork or deliver
the yard sign display. In fact, we try to stay behind the scenes. We
will leave behind an envelope with some “Stork Instructions” or
“Flocking Information” under your doormat, when we make our deliveries.
When we pick-up the stork, we will leave the star keepsake under your
doormat or in between your front door and screen door.
We prefer reservations but they aren’t required to place an order.
Reservations are helpful so that we have all the necessary information
to make the delivery. Please call as soon as your baby is born to let us
know when you would like the sign delivered.
When do I pay for the rental?
Payment must be made prior to the delivery
of the stork, by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover, or upon delivery by
cash or personal check.
If
you wish to pay with cash or check, you can leave the payment in an envelope
in a location at your home (taped to the door, under the door mat, etc), or
you can mail us a check prior to delivery. Personal checks that are
returned for insufficient funds, are subject to a $25 return check fee.
No one needs to be home when we deliver or pick-up a stork or display. We will leave behind an envelope with some "Stork
or Display Instructions" in your door. When we pick-up
a stork, we leave the star keepsake under your doormat or in between your front door and screen door.
For Storks: We generally deliver within 24 hours of
notification of the baby’s birth. We ask that you give us a call the day
before the baby is to arrive home and we try our best to have the stork
in place for the baby’s arrival home from the hospital.
For
Displays: We appreciate a weeks notice for displays, but last
minute displays are sometimes available. You can check our
online
calendar for availablilty.
**We can provide same day delivery for an additional fee. There may
be an additional fee for deliveries on major holidays.**
